Dear Parents, Grandparents, Students and Staff,
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! We at SPFA have worked very hard all summer to prepare for a successful academic year. We’ve spent the summer ordering books, desks and chairs, and hiring new staff. Teachers worked hard to prepare classrooms, write lesson plans, and prepare their rooms, and many staff worked long hours attending professional development workshops, training sessions, and preparing for the children.
Below are a few important reminders about school policies that are helpful to ensure a successful and smooth school year. School begins promptly each day at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m. Students are expected to attend school every day, unless they have a written, excused absence. The office must be notified in writing if there are changes in your child’s usual transportation plan. Without prior written notice, the school must comply with the regularly agreed upon routine for transportation.
Please check your child’s backpack each day for important communications coming from your child’s teacher and/or the school. In addition, please provide a current e-mail address to the school office if you haven’t already done so if you wish to be included in any electronic communications from the school.
We also would ask for your support in ensuring that students come to school in their full uniform each day. We encourage parents to mark ALL school uniforms pieces with your child’s name. We have found that if your child’s name isn’t marked on the uniform, it can be nearly impossible to identify which piece of the uniform belongs to whom, particularly during PE time.
I want to close by giving a special thank you for choosing Springfield Preparatory and Fitness Academy for the 2019-2020 school year. Please reach out to me personally at 937-716-4501 if you ever feel that SPFA is not meeting your needs. You can also reach the main office at 937-323-6250.
